Skylink-Live-TV.png?resize=929%2C424&sslSkylink Live TV can now be received on selected models of Vestel’s smart TVs.

The group, on MB 130 and MB 211, includes the brands Finlux, Hitachi, JVC, Telefunken, Toshiba, Gogen, Hyundai and Orava. The application operates in two basic modes, namely default on the internet, where the service is identical to Skylink Live TV on PCs or mobile devices, and hybrid, which allows customers to watch all subscription satellite programmes and have the internet features for programmes available on Live TV.

According to Jaromir Glisnik, member of the board at M7 Group, “Other applications of this kind only run over the internet. Skylink Live TV, however, integrates the functions of satellite and internet TV.

“Users who connect to it via their TV can conveniently operate their online application with their remote control. And thanks to the collaboration with Vestel, the app is already available for ten brands.”

Skylink Live TV has until now been available on mobile devices, PCs and LG and Samsung smart TVs. Following on from Vestel, apps for smart TVs from other manufacturers are now being developed. Skylink Live TV offers up 60 channels, 33 of which are in HD, to all Skylink customers on a VOD basis. It can also be accessed for 30 days by non-Skylink customers.

Those who wish to continue receiving it can then do so but only as an internet TV service, arranging to install satellite equipment at a later date.
