Spacecom CEO David Pollack steps down

Recommended Posts

David-Pollack.jpg?resize=300%2C225&ssl=1The chief executive of Spacecom is to step down after 24 years.

Pollack helped establish the Israeli satellite operator and raised funds for the AMOS satellites programme on the Tel-Aviv stock exchange.

He joined Spacecom from Israel Aerospace Industries, where he held several key positions in the Space Systems Division, and was responsible for international cooperation ventures.

A 2016 launchpad explosion cost the company its AMOS-6 satellite, a $95 million contract with Facebook and a $285 million acquisition deal by Shanghai’s Xinwei Technology.

However, after a troublesome 24 months, Spacecom returned to profitability in 2018.

No announcement has been made as to Pollack’s successor.
